Overview: Rosik bil Or Rasik Beel is an ideal destination for bird watchers and animal lovers. It is located at the foothills of sintura hill of the Himalaya and falls under Coochbehar district (West Bengal). It is basically a low water land where water remains available throughout the year. Five (5) these kind of adjacent low water land  viz. Sankhadanga, Rasikbill, Bochamari, Neeldoba, Raichangmari together covers more than 175 hectors of low land area which attracts local and migratory birds to stay and make nests in the trees around this area.  More than 55 varieties of birds are generally found here throughout the year.

Main attraction:  This place is very popular bird watching spot and famous for local and migratory birds.  The bird variety includes different varieties of storks, kingfisher, owl, parrot, cormorants, ibis, spoonbill etc and many others. The water birds are like Common Teal, Lesser Whistling Teal, White eyed pochard, Red Crested pochard, Little Cormorant, Large Cormorant, Small Blue Kingfisher, Stork Billed Kingfisher, Pied Kingfisher, Pintail, Gadwall, Gray headed Lapwing, Northern Lapwing, Wigeon Duck etc.  The lake Rosik bill is surrounded by three dense forests viz Nagurhaat, Atasmochar and Bochamari. It is a heaven for eco tourism in the wilderness with breathtaking beauty of its scenery. There is crocodile rehabilitation centre and a deer park with above 50 deer altogether. You will certainly find python, leopard, Tortoise, gharial, peacock etc to visit. There is also a watch tower for the tourists to keep a close look at the birds at their nest. Boating facility also available there.

How to reach: The nearest local railway station is Kamakhyaguri Station from where the driving distance of Rosik bill is 9 km. The place is about 34 KM away from Alipurduar town and 45 KM away from coochbehar station. You can hire car to reach there from both of the places. All important trains towards North East part of India have stoppage at New Coochbehar station. The nearest Airport is Siliguri from where the place is 212 KM apart.

But now a day’s other private lodge and hotels are also available adjacent to the area. It is also recommended to test local fish as food.
